Relax, breathe deep, and feel your mind’s eye opening slowly wider as you slip deeper into HYPNOTHEQUE, a new gallery of Rorschachian visions by Schuyler Willis.
For this event, longtime Idea Fab Lab member Schuyler has taken his craft to surreal new levels creating a gateway to these snapshots of the human subconscious. Mutedly vibrant and primally striking, these pieces reach out to the viewer with the ephemeral impact of a dream you grasp onto as you wake, only softened by the comforting familiarity of human touch. Each work is the product of a kaleidoscope of methods and tools including laser-etching, photographic manipulation, and hand-painting, resulting in a collection that is simultaneously organically abstract and sharply realistic.
• This is a private event and requires a $15 RSVP before attending. There will be no tickets at the door.
• IFL Arts will be providing custom cocktails and other refreshments.
• Music to be announced soon.
