This class is intended to jumpstart your learning and experience in 3D & potentially, virtual reality. This program is an industry standard for creation in 3D modeling, animation, game design, movie production, and more.
Students may purchase the first class alone ($30) or the entire quarter ($80). Classes 2-4 may not be purchased alone.
Feb 15th: Intro to Maya 3D
This class will cover:
-Introduction & setup
-Summarize capabilities & techniques
-Discuss industry
-Course project overview
Feb 22nd: Workflow, UI, Getting Started
This class will cover:
-Setup project hierarchy
-Customize user interface
-Start first scene assembly assignment
March 1st: Modeling I
This class will cover:
-Modeling tool kit
-Boolean Tool
-Extrusion
-Using polygons
March 8th: Modeling II & Sculpting
This class will cover:
-Manipulating the shape of objects
-Sculpting tool
-Beveling
-Extruding
-Quad Draw on Live Objects
There is a free download with an active-student email address, an option for subscription purchase, or trial-based downloads available at autodesk.com
Students are required to have a computer, a mouse, and have the program installed BEFORE arriving to class.
